Utilizing Facebook Lookalike Audiences



Facebook Custom Audiences are one of my secret weapons when it comes to Facebook Advertising. Because the total number of users in the lookalike is held constant, the quality of the users re-filled may not be held constant; perhaps based on the new connections made, the new users filled into the lookalike audience will have an R-squared of only 85%, leading to quicker saturation.

If you offer multiple products or services, or are about to launch a new offer, the best people to advertise it to are probably previous customers. While you might have a good idea of who your ideal customer is, lookalike audiences dissect your existing followers and user base to find their commonalities.

Following are 4 important things to have in mind when creating a custom audience to target. When setting up your targeting, just select your new Lookalike Audience from the drop-down menu:. Select which list you would like to pull from, or you can choose to pull from all your lists if that makes more sense, and create your group.

Lookalike audiences allow marketers to take advantage of the incredible amounts of data Facebook has to arrive at those best-performing audiences without excessive trial and error.
